In November of 2003, his work is being presented by Professor Chad Tew at the PAMLA 2003 Convention. Highland has produced over 150,000 literary works ranging in length between 500-1,000 pages. Each literay work is a one-of-a-kind piece, meaning that only the original works are sold, rather than being reproduced. August Highland calls this publishing model "Massive Production". The works are presented unbound in custom-designed wooden boxes that are available in three wood types. Purchasers of Highland's work are also able to select from three font faces and three paper grades. Prices for the literary work by August Highland are $350-$500 and can be purchased directly from culture animal

Highland also creates monumental-scale visual poetic works, some as large as 122"x122". Examples of these visual poetic works are on exhibition at his online gallery.

August Highland writes under multiple personas all of whom are members of the simulated literary movements (metapoetics theatre) which are listed below. None of these personas appear in the muse apprentice guild.
