EDLYN ANG

--------

SATURN

So this is Saturn: a body folded
into itself, under the soft enormity of mass
to feel denseless, loosened and yielding-

the smell of rose and spice all mixed
with lamplight and remoteness
of a logic how
like mathematics, it's always conditional

yet faultless, for without
the mitigation of oracles or telescopes,
who can see or would believe
the insubstantiality of rings.
