ELEGY ON LATE AMERICAN 'POET-HERO'

A lose to the American child
A lose to the African child
A lose to the European child
A lose to the English child
A lose to the poetry world.

Death,
The killer!
The ogre of nightfall!
You snared the American peacemaker
The custodian of peace
The icon of peace
The maker of peace and hope!

Mattie Stepanek,
A peace poet!
The young poet hero!
Your untimely demise
Is a lose to world peacekeepers!

Oh, Heartsongs of Mattie!
Lie in the bosom…
Lie in the heavenly glories…
Where muscular dystrophy
Is unknown…

Death,
O wicked death!
Why did you snare him so untimely…?
Death: I do not know…
Oh, Mattie!
Poet of much peace…
Sleep and stay in perfect peace.

HOPE AND PEACE

Hope and peace
Where are you?
The heartsong of peace
The heartsong of hope
Dwindling and dwindling…
Conflicts intriguing…
The hearts…

Hope and peace
The firmament of amity
The likelihood of unity
The tranquility of nationhood
Is disappearing like a wide inferno

Who had swayed hope and peace
From our deepest heartfelt hearts?
Hope and peace: 'I do not know'
Come on hope!
Come on peace!
Our hearts are weary
But not too wiry
Fainting and fainting…
In continuous times
Oh! Hope and peace
The yearnings of peacemakers
Are the tools to world order.

TSUNAMIS TRAGEDY

Tsunamis, Tsunamis,
You are a threat to us…
A global threat to Asia, Africa
A murderer in its worst hit!
You have turned us to refugees
In a homeless home
In search of victuals…
Why were you so devastating…?
Quaked our fertile lands…
Made us appeared poorer
Poorer than we were…
Death tolls of Tsunamis tragedy
Tolling and tolling…
In the twinkling of an eye
Tsunamis, Oh goddess Tsunamis!
You are a threatening missile
A havoc-monger!
Who have thought you could be so cruel…
Shocked us to death,
Perished our loved souls,
Terrorized our fragile minds
What an excruciating experience!
Painful to forgive
Difficult to forget
A tattoo on us!
As hard as nails…
