PATRICK PORTER is a 24-year-old writer currently living in New York. He was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee but spent most of his youth in Colorado. His first book of poetry, 'The Intrusive Ache of Morning', was published by Chicago's Press of the Third Mind in 1999. His second book, 'Nervous Halo', was published by Paul Dilsaver's Arts and Academic Press in 2001, and earned him an opening slot reading with Jim Carroll. In addition to writing, Porter plays guitar and drums for a number of groups and has had two CDs issued on Camera Obscura Records, including last year's 'Reverb Saved My Life'.
