about this contributor:

JASON HOFFMAN is an American living up in the mountains of Brazil, most humbly following in the delicate footsteps of Elizabeth Bishop. He recently completed an MA in semiotics and literary criticism at the Catholic University of São Paulo. His short stories and poetry have appeared in Pindeldyboz, Haypenny, and Pastiche Poetry. In addition to writing, he works as psychoanalyst and literature teacher and his future plans include a Ph.D. in comparative literature, perhaps a somewhat steady job, and certainly a couple of caipirinhas every now and again.
