CORAL HULL is the author of over thirty-five books of poetry, fiction, artwork and digital photography. She was born in Paddington, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in 1965 and grew up in a disadvantaged environment in Sydney's working class suburb of Liverpool. She spent her school holidays in Matraville (near Botany Bay in Sydney) with her grandmother and in Brewarrina (outback New South Wales) where her father was born. During her teens she worked in a supermarket as a packer and checkout operator, in a plastics factory at Lidcombe and more recently in the sex industry where she wrote her first novel titled Work The Sex based on the conversation between five Darwin sex workers.
