PATRICK HERRON
PATRICK HERRON is the author of two painfully unpublished books, both of which were recently named semifinalists in the 2002 Verse Press awards. He recently read at the Black Mountain College Festival in Asheville, NC, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of John Cage's first multimedia happening. He is the creator of proximate.org, a confrontational web site that has appeared in Rhizome.org and in both university design and multimedia arts curricula in North America, Asia, and Europe. Patrick also composes, performs, and records electronic music under the name of Blindfolder. Patrick's recent writing has appeared in such journals as Jacket, Blaze, A Chide's Alphabet, and VeRT. More of his artwork and writing will soon appear in The Iowa Review Web, Fulcrum, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and Canary River. Patrick lives in Chapel Hill, NC.
